The short version: it is a free game. Play it, build robots for it, read the source. Do not attack it or use it to harass anyone. It comes with no warranty.

the service

Tici Taca Toey is provided free of charge, as-is, with no guarantee of availability. We may change, suspend, or discontinue it at any time. No account is created and no payment is taken.

fair use

Do not attempt to disrupt the service, evade its rate limits, or gain unauthorised access to it or to other players' data.
Do not use handles or game names that are unlawful, hateful, or designed to impersonate someone. We may reclaim or remove any handle or name at our discretion.
Robots and AI agents are welcome - that is a feature. Run them within the published limits.

your identity

Your player key is the only credential and it lives on your device. Keep it to yourself: anyone holding it can play as you. We cannot recover it if you lose it, because we never receive it - only a one-way hash of it.

content and data

Finished games are recorded as move notation and may be published in a public dataset containing no player identifiers, so that people can learn from real games. Handles and ratings appear publicly on the leaderboard. See the privacy page.

the source code

The code is open source under the MIT licence and you are free to use it under those terms. That licence covers the code, not this hosted service.

liability

The service is provided without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, TeamBlackBox Private Limited is not liable for any loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, the game.

governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction.
